KBC Newsletter 17/6/14
Welcome to this week’s edition of news from Kirsty Broun Cycling!
The Weekend Wrap Up!
Last weekend, riders of the KBR team participated in the HPRW Lakeside (Reverse) Criterium and the Queensland Individual Time Trial Championships.
Saturday saw members of the Kirsty Broun Racing team take to Lakeside for the HPRW Club Criterium. Hannah Tohill, Wendy Grindley-Ferris, Paul Voorn and Gary Weis finished in the top ten of C Grade (Div 1), with Wendy winning 1st female and still crossed the line in front of majority of the men. Well done Wendy!
On Sunday, Jackie Dorey, Paula Johnston, Liz Nelson, Mel Symon and Stephen Rashleigh competed in the Queensland Individual Time Trial Championships. Everyone did a fantastic job in dusty, windy conditions and rough roads. Some great results from the day including PB’s to Paula, and Liz Nelson whose time was good enough to secure a first place podium finish in the Masters 4 division. Mel Symon improved on her Ipswich Open ride, coming a very commendable 4th in the toughest women’s age group of the day. It’s great to see so many KBC athletes out racing and giving it a go, really proud of you all.
