KBC Newsletter – 24/6/14

Welcome to this week’s instalment of what’s been happening at Kirsty Broun Cycling:
Training – the week that was!
Last week’s focus was on speed work up hills and improving cadence on the bike. On Wednesday, we climbed Mt Coot-tha with coach Liz Hepple. She rode on a scooter whilst assisting small groups doing efforts up the mountain. On Thursday, coach Pete Buggy put the performance group to task around Nundah track working on high cadence and pedaling technique.
Wattbike training
If you want to take your fitness to the next level, Wattbike sessions are an excellent tool to help you do just that. Each session focuses on a different variable of fitness, choreographed to your favourite music. Each session costs $20.00 and must be pre-booked. As of 1 July 2014, times are changing to lunchtime sessions on Tuesday and Friday (12.15pm to 1.15pm) and evening sessions on Thursday (5.30pm to 6.30pm and 6.30pm to 7.30pm). Please let me know as soon as possible if you are interested. Spots are limited to 8 riders per session and they fill up quickly.
